Mr. Pichay works on M&A, banking and finance, competition law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance in various industry sectors.
Mr. Pichay assisted in the successful entry of a consortium in an up-and-coming food and beverage company which owns a leading Philippine bakery-restaurant chain and a local licensee of a leading global quick-service franchise.
Mr. Pichay was also a key member of the team that handled the 7-way merger of a publicly-listed holding company with associated companies in the real estate, chemical and downstream oil industries. Working in lockstep with the merging entities and regulators, He secured the necessary non-coverage confirmations from the Philippine Competition Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission and continues to assist on requirements with the Philippine Stock Exchange.
Mr. Pichay is also experienced with filings and applications with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Mr. Pichay also regularly handles corporate governance and compliance work for clients in various industries such as finance, payments management, food and beverage, as well as for a publicly-listed companies, including that of the country’s biggest universal bank.
Mr. Pichay also earlier worked on procurement, data privacy and intellectual property applications for clients in the commercial, banking sectors, as well as in the government.
